FINNISH FASHION: MARIMEKKO

This month's Finnish fashion brand is definitely the best known so far. A brand that has always been special for us Finns and one that we have all grown up with.
This FW16 collection is the second one for Anna Teurnell as the creative director and she continues on creating something new but still recognisable for Marimekko. This fall she took Marimekko back to the 70's and I'm liking it.That green quilted tunic with light pink flowers was my favorite as well as the Louhi choker seen on the first photo.

Here's an easy go-to outfit from Thursday, a day before I left to the countryside over the weekend and got a good dose of fresh air, slept like a baby and let my face breathe without any makeup. It was just what I needed, I seriously can't remember feeling this relaxed in months.

Talking about sale finds, here's the best one I've come across this season, the blue linen pants from Acne. Love love love them.
I heard some random guy say that they look like they had been turned inside out and felt like damn, I would have saved some money by doing that to a pair of my old jeans for free.

Do you know those clothes that you just love but forget they even exist because they're too special to be worn too often.
So there they just wait for their turn to be loved again.
Here's one of my forgotten pieces. It's SO GOOD and now I just feel bad that it has been forgotten for like the last two years.
Ok, not totally forgotten. I have seen it hanging there every now and then (it's bright pink, how could I not see it)
but the moment has just not been right. Now that moment has come.

I'm so not one of those who puts their money on the safe choices like a basic knit or other boring stuff like that. My big buys are real eye catchers like this light yellow Kenzo bag or my gorgeous vintage pieces that you're going to see later. All of these have been hanging in my closet for many years now and they still feel like me. I call this "money well spent".
